Juice Bar is overwhelmingly vegetarian, gluten-free, organic when possible, and always uses 100% whole fruits and vegetables. Simply said, we are a “I want to eat healthy and feel great” type place, offering yummies like our Super Greens juice with local wheat grass, or our superfoods salad with kale, spinach, organic quinoa and fresh-juiced lemon dressing. In season we purchase directly from local farms whenever possible, and take great pride in offering an assortment of items from other local partners year-round. We are truly delighted to create great-tasting, super-nutritious juices, smoothies and foods – if your favorite thing is not on our menu just let us know! …we have fun at what we do and look forward to being of service to you in any capacity.
A little more…
For several years, John and Vui Hunt dreamed of opening a juice bar in Nashville after moving home from Atlanta. John recalls, “Corporate jobs were not working well for me, I was stressed out, eating poorly and way overweight.” Missing the fulfillment and fun of Vui’s vegetarian restaurant Veggieland, they wanted to provide fresh and nutritious foods and juices but in a more focused concept. In late February 2013 they discovered a sandwich shop for sale in Brentwood and quickly began work on Juice Bar.
Vui explains, “Nothing changes if nothing changes, and it was simply a now or never type thing for us.” John had watched the documentary Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead and started juicing in conjunction with their efforts, “I began losing about a pound a day, started feeling better than ever, and my energy levels went sky high.”
By mid April they opened Juice Bar’s doors to family and friends, felt ready to go, and had a grand opening shortly thereafter. To date they are having a great time, are working hard, and love offering fantastically healthy juices, smoothies and foods to their customers.
Along with their two little girls and two spoiled rotten dogs, John and Vui love calling Nashville home – and look forward to meeting you at Juice Bar!
