we're nuts for coconuts.

Summer means sunshine, days by the pool (or lake or beach if you're lucky) and delicious tropical fruits. When it comes to summer flavors, coconut is one of the most popular. In fact, in recent years, the demand for coconuts and their by-products almost exceeded what grocery and health food stores were able to supply.

We're big fans of coconut here at Juice Bar, as evidenced in one of our most popular smoothies, the Coco Pro. Creamy and just slightly sweet, it's made in-store from a whole fresh young coconut (juice and pulp), blended with hemp seeds, probiotics and a little extra coconut water. 

And it's no surprise, coconuts are so delicious and useful, they are almost magical. In fact, the Pacific Islanders call the palm tree "the Tree of Life" because they use the fruit as the cure-all for any illness. And when it comes to it's (many) uses, coconuts are one of the most versatile fruits; you can drink them, eat them, cook with them, and even use them in your health and beauty routines.
