24 carrot cocktail recipe
add a little bling to your booze!
Who said a cocktail had to be 'fancy' to be good? Not us, that's for sure!
With just three ingredients (four if you include the ice!), we've made a deliciously refreshing cocktail using a base of our Orange You Glad juice, a couple dashes of aromatic bitters, and gin.
Before you go turning your nose up at gin for tasting like pine needles, you should know that there are many different types of gin - and not all of them taste like an evergreen.
But what all gins do have in common are botanicals. From the omnipresent juniper berries to coriander, lemon peel, and even rose and cucumber, each variety of gin uses their own combination of ingredients to create flavor profile that's all their own.
So, if you're a little timid to try gin, ask your local purveyor about which gins have a softer flavor and start with those. We bet you'll be in with gin in no time!
4 ounces Orange You Glad juice
2 ounces gin
2 dashes bitters
fresh carrot and mint for garnish (optional)
Start by pre-chilling a tall glass with ice, this way it won't water your drink down when you serve it.
In a cocktail shaker, add the Orange You Glad, gin, and bitters. Fill with ice and shake vigorously to chill.
Empty your glass and fill with fresh ice. Strain the cocktail into the glass, garnish and serve.
